Xbox Series X pre-orders might not arrive till Christmas says Amazon
A number of customers have received warnings from Amazon that their new Xbox Series X console might not arrive for several weeks.
It’s the launch of the Xbox Series X and S today and while most shops are out of stock there’s still a few where you have a chance of picking up a new console straight away.
A number of people on social media have reported receiving emails from Amazon, warning they might not get their new console until the end of the year.
‘We expect to ship your console in the coming weeks as we receive more inventory in November and December,’ says the stock email.
‘At this time, we anticipate that you will receive your Xbox Series X by 12/31 or before. We are making every effort to get it to you as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience.’
No-one seems to have received a similar warning about the Xbox Series S, which has generally not been in quite as high demand as the more expensive Xbox Series X.
