On the 23rd of September, Thorg got released to the public. And it’s going to revolutionize crypto mining/earning. Here’s what you need to know:
For weeks, a bot has plagued Golem’s Discord, writing mysterious messages and hinting at something. Community members have had so many ideas of what it could have meant, but now we finally know.
Thorg is a mining application for Windows. In the back, it currently mines Ethereum, and you get paid GLM tokens, the native token of the Golem Network. To keep fees low, all transactions are done on Polygon.
Unlike other miners, you get pa id every hour to a wallet that you have control over, and the minimum payout is so microscopic that you would earn enough for it within minutes of mining. Keep in mind that Thorg was made to have an easy onboarding experience, with both fast and reliable payouts.
There are currently plans to include their current Linux-exclusive provider software within the Thorg miner, even for Windows users, which will make you contribute to various projects such as 3D-rendering or scientific research — which is not as wasteful as mining Ethereum.
