Honestly, this book is worth it for Chapter 3 (“Macro Basics”) alone! This is one of the many books which will have you bemoaning Lisp’s unpopularity. This is because it gives many examples of language constructs not possible in other languages. Another recommendation would be, “On Lisp” by Paul Graham, but one Lisp recommendation is enough for today. ;)

This book gives you the complete sweep of stock market products a non-hedge fund employee would need (for hedge funders, I recommend “Stochastic Calculus For Finance II”, by Steven E. Shreve ;) ). It goes over things like index funds and annuities, plus has some interviews with famous investor types, including Ray Dalio and John C. Bogle. It is worth having in your collection for Dalio’s All Weather Portfolio (which the book goes over in detail) alone!

And that wraps it up! If you enjoyed this post, feel free to buy me a coffee at: https://buymeacoffee.com/danieljaouen. Thanks!
