As we witnessed the Model S Plaid unveiling and delivery event last night, the real fun part began after Elon Musk’s presentation, yes, the test drives. The attendees, which included customers, members of the media, and social media influencers — experienced the Tesla Plaid acceleration at last and we have a bunch of insane test drive videos.
As we reported earlier, the Tesla Fremont factory test track was being prepared for testing the Model S Plaid acceleration and giving test rides to the visitors of the highly anticipated event.
Tesla setup a short tunnel on the test track with plaid pattern lighting to make the 0-60 mph run more interesting, I would call it the warp speed tunnel or plaid tunnel whichever you would like. This temporary plaid tunnel enhanced the most powerful launch of any production car made yet.
Some visitors to the event posted their Model S Plaid test drive videos on social media. The popular SpaceX observer and enthusiast Everyday Astronaut also felt the G-Force when he floored the acceleration pedal through the warp tunnel.
