We are on a mission to help freelancers maximize their income-earning potential in the ever-growing gig economy by providing their services to individuals, businesses, schools, places of worship and families worldwide.

UZE is more than just a platform for freelancers—it embodies my life’s story, that of an 18-year-old West African teen who had a passion for computers, math, and music and who dreamed of making the great escape to break from the chains of poverty, corruption, injustice, and misery and move to the land of endless opportunities, the United States of America, in the pursuit of happiness and his wildest dreams.

Upon arriving in America as a clueless 18-year-old with all the life-savings from my parents and the clothes on my back, reality started to sink very fast when language barriers, culture shock, and the daunting challenges of supporting myself through college slapped me in the face. I have always been a firm believer, and I knew that somehow God had a plan for me and that my calling lay ahead. Therefore, I leaned into my academic strengths, tutoring fellow students in math and physics and working as a freelance tutor and teaching assistant as soon as I had completed my proficiency in English courses to cover my textbooks and living expenses. My love for music also came through, helping me earn extra cash by freelancing as a musician, making beats, and writing lyrics. I never took a summer off. While others were resting and enjoying extracurricular activities, I often worked three jobs to care for myself and support the rest of my family back home.

Growing up, seeing my dad in his military uniform affected me in ways I never understood until my junior year. I made a significant sacrifice by pausing my college education and enlisting in the Navy Reserve. Despite my high scores on the ASVAB test, my non-citizen status limited my options. Undeterred, I served as a Logistics Specialist, embracing the opportunity to contribute to my new country, which has given me more than I could ever ask for. After returning from Recruit Training Command and Naval A School, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
