Researchers at Columbia Engineering’s Creative Machine Lab, who have long been interested in robot-human interactions, have launched EVA, a new autonomous robot with a soft, expressive face that reacts to the facial expressions of nearby humans. I’ve been working on it for 5 years to create it.
The study will be presented at the ICRA conference on May 30, 2021, and the robot blueprints will be open sourced in Hardware-X (April 2021).
