We wanted to take a moment to provide you with an overview of our current architecture and the steps we’re taking to ensure the long-term reliability and security of our platform.

At present, Naimint relies on an external API provided by Snapshot.org to fetch the results of our epoch-based rewards system. We have implemented a Solidity smart contract that interacts with the Snapshot API to retrieve the necessary data for distributing rewards.

We understand that relying on an external service introduces a potential point of failure. In the event that Snapshot.org experiences downtime or becomes unavailable, it could temporarily impact our ability to fetch epoch results and distribute rewards.

To mitigate this risk, we have designed our smart contract to handle such scenarios gracefully. If the Snapshot API is unavailable or returns an error, our contract will not distribute rewards based on incomplete or invalid data. We have also implemented a multi-signature wallet mechanism, where a group of trusted founders have the ability to update the Snapshot API URL in case we need to switch to a backup or alternative service.

While this multi-signature wallet provides a level of control and flexibility, we recognize that it is not a fully decentralized solution. Our long-term vision is to transition towards a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) model, where the community has a greater say in the governance and decision-making processes of Naimint.
