We’re going to cover a topic that some people get extremely touchy about, even when it’s not about them – and it’s about to get real sassy up in here.
There seems to be this weird disease that an alarming number of people have. Signs include being nosy as hell about what other people get up to, assuming everyone around them wants the exact same things out of life as they do, and being worryingly concerned about the sex lives and reproductive habits of others.
No, I’m not talking about ultraconservative, evangelistic Republicans (BA-DUM TISS. Just kidding, far-right friends). I’m talking, of course, about the fact that some people find it necessary to ask all the younger individuals in serious relationships that they can find something along the lines of, “so, when are you gonna start firing babies out left and right?”
I get it. I live in the South, were it’s not only common to marry young (totally guilty of this one, by the way – I was 22 and my husband was 24 when we got married), but to also start breeding at an alarming rate immediately after. Way too many of the people I went to high school with already have one kid, if not more. And I’m female, so I must want children in order to be ultimately happy and fulfilled, right?
